When I received this image for the swap, the first thing I thought of was the beautiful blue and white Delftware from the Netherlands. I thought it would have been pretty embossed in blue on white paper. But since it didn't come that way, I decided to try to simulate the look with my Prismas. I used just one shade of blue to color the image, leaving most of the open areas white. I did not blend the pencil with this one because I wanted the blue to be crisp against the white like the Delftware. I trimmed the image to 3" square, then cut it into 9, 1" squares to simulate tile. I chose to use only blue and white on the card to stay with the Delftware look.
I'm really happy with how this turned out. I hope the person who sent me the image likes it too.
