Wishing You Joy - A Mother's Day Card

This coming Sunday is Mother's Day here in the US. I made this card for my mom and also for this week's House Mouse and Friends challenge. The challenge for this week is to make a gate fold card. I love to use different types of folds and the gatefold is really easy to do.

The image I chose is Throwing Daisy Petals. This is one of the many, many House Mouse images that I love - but don't own. My friend Susan gave it to me. I just think Monica throwing her daisy petals around looks just about as happy as she can be. Daisies also happen to also be my mother's favorite flower, and I always try to get a daisy on her card somewhere. In addition to the image I also used a couple of daisies in the flower embellishment and on the sentiment, so she should be happy. :)

I printed both the outside and inside sentiments on the computer. The reason I added the flowers to the outside sentiment is that I didn't get it quite centered in my Nestie when I cut it out and I needed to even it up a little. The outside sentiment is attached with foam squares and also helps to keep the card closed. The photo below shows the card open with the inside sentiment showing. The sentiment just came from my heart. I didn't copy it from anywhere - It's just how I feel about my mom. She's an amazing lady.

Thanks for stopping by. If you love House Mouse, Happy Hoppers and Gruffies as much as I do, be sure to check out the other great creations at the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge blog. There's lots of talent there.

Purple and a green color match it well; and very much Wanda fully.

There is the united feeling of the color, and it is a favorite card.

I just love the little creatures that you use! This Mother's Day card is beautiful, and I know your Mom will love it, especially the sentiment. I had my Mom for 96 years, so know the pleasure you have in your Mom.
