A Little Christmas Cheer

I am hosting the weekly challenge on CK/PCMB this week. My challenge is to create a Christmas theme project with at least one non-traditional element. It could be a non-traditional color scheme, an image that was not originally intended for Christmas, a humorous theme, etc. For my sample card I chose an image that was not originally intended for Christmas - Cosmobella. I chose some retro style papers to go with the image and printed the sentiment on the computer using a retro font.

Supplies
Stamp: Cosmobella (Stamping Bella); sentiment is computer generated using Fontdiner.com font
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine); Peeled Paint Distress Ink (Ranger)
Paper: White cardstock; blue cardstock and DP - Holiday (Paper Salon); red scraps
Embellishments: Circle Nestabilities; corner rounder punch; brads; ribbon
Technique: Prismacolor pencils blended with mineral spirits
Finished card size: A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/1")

Thanksgiving Cornucopia

Here's a cornucopia for Thanksgiving. I made this card for this week's challenge on the PaperCrafts message board. The challenge hostess is Sue/weedsgalore and she asked us to make a Thanksgiving card with either a turkey, a Pilgrim or a cornucopa. I love this cornucopia stamp, but I have been lazy lately and not in the mood to color. Sue suggested that I emboss the image in gold so I didn't have to color it, so that's what I did. Personally, I like it colored better, but that's okay. Now I know for sure.
